This weekend the York University Lions women's volleyball team is back on the court to start the new semester. 

The Lions hit the road for back-to-back games against the Windsor Lancers, a team defined by its defensive dominance. The Lancers are currently a leader in the OUA for blocks, anchored by a lineup that features three of the conference's top five individual blockers. While these teams didn't meet last season, their 2023-24 encounter was a thriller, with Windsor narrowly edging out the Lions in a five-set battle.
