Bo Pelech was a member of York's men's basketball team from 1977-81. During that time, the team won three OUAA championships (1977-78, 1979-80, 1980-81) and advanced to the CIAU championship four times. An outstanding two-way player, Pelech was always a physical force on the court and was usually assigned to neutralize the opponent's top players. He was also one of the top rebounders in the country. A former member of the Canadian national junior team, Pelech was a four-time OUAA all-star (1978-81) and was named a CIAU all-Canadian in 1980-81.
